Come sull’acqua

Inspired by the waters of lagoons and springs, the video challenges the pure composition thought considering music and images dialoguing in a counterpoint.

The video work Come sull’acqua* (2009) is a poetic reflection on water bodies. It features footage from springs and lagoons on the northern Adriatic region – Venice lagoon and Marano and Grado lagoon. The encounters between these bodies of water and their human inhabitants is captured through fleeting reflections, shadow plays, and liquid depths. The piece can be considered a “four hand composition”, because images and music were realised in a dialogue, abandoning any functional role or accompaniment.
